Peloton, a new indoor cycling bike system with on-demand lessons from a live studio, today received an update that now allows users to bookmark rides they like, whether it’s one they’ve taken before that they enjoyed or from an instructor they prefer.
With its New York-based studio offering themed rides such as ’80’s rock’ and ‘Justin Timberlake vs N’SYNC,’ bookmarking allows you to save a class to attend belatedly if you can’t make it live.

Search results can also be filtered by popularity, top rated, newest or rides your friends have taken. Since you can rate your ride at the end of each session, the app will also average these results to rank classes between “easiest” and “hardest” so you can find the session that suits your needs.
Peloton also has an accompanying iPad app for those with their own indoor cycling bike. In a recent conversation with Peloton CEO John Foley, he saids to continue expecting more intuitive updates to the app, such as the ability to book classes through the app, or poke friends/classmates and give them thumbs up when they see their riding activities.
Will those social features quickly turn Peloton into a hook up app for fitness fanatics? We’ll cross that bridge when the time comes.
The Peloton app is free to download, but costs class credits to stream. A one-week unlimited pass starts at $5.99. Updates to the Peloton bike tablet is rolling out today.
