I never thought I’d witness an evocation of try-hard hipsterdom that summed it up for me like LCD Soundsystem’s 4 28 eye roll ‘Losing My Edge’ once did, but I’ve stumbled upon one, thanks to PSFK.

It reported on the unveiling of WBBR, a radio station – available via an iPhone app – that’s so exclusive you can only access it on the Williamsburg Bridge.

Do business with 5,000 people

Momentum by TNW is our New York technology event for anyone interested in helping their company grow.

Inevitably, it’s the product of an advertising agency – Sid Lee – and a hipper than hip record label – UNO!

WBBR delivers two songs each day for people making the bridge crossing: a motivational one for the ascent and a chill out that kicks in a the midpoint.

The app is handsfree. It starts playing the day’s selections when you hit the bridge, detecting your location with a combination of GPS tracking and iBeacons.

And if you’re not an ad ‘creative’ on this very particular commute, well, I guess you had to be there, right?
